Hyper (increased) Baric (pressure) Oxygen Therapy delivers 100% oxygen under increased atmospheric pressure in a specially equipped medical device called a Hyperbaric Chamber. While the patient is inside the chamber, it is pressurized with either medical grade air or 100% oxygen. The patient breathes normally while the system pressure is increased around them. The increased pressure and oxygen concentration supersaturate the blood and tissues with oxygen and add a dimension to the healing process previously unavailable without HBOT.
Patients, while either sitting up or lying down in the chamber, can watch television or DVDs, listen to music, or take a nap, while under the care and supervision of skilled and trained physicians and hyperbaric center staff.

When we partner with your hospital, we provide HBOT in state-of-the-art hyperbaric oxygen chambers, which are available in two configurations.
Monoplace Chambers
The monoplace (one-person) chamber is large enough to hold a seven-foot tall patient. Generally constructed of a steel frame with a see-through, acrylic cylinder to provide a sense of spaciousness. The chambers have a pressure capability of 3.0 atmospheres absolute, which is three times the normal atmospheric pressure.
Pressurized with 100% oxygen, monoplace chambers eliminate the need for masks or hoods. The patient breathes normally while situated comfortably within the chamber.
A two-way intercom enables the patient to communicate with a staff member who will be present at all times during the treatment.
Multiplace Chambers
A multiplace chamber can support a large wound care volume, with the ability to treat more patients in a regularly scheduled eight-hour workday. Other advantages include:
Hands On Medical Care - A medically qualified attendant is always inside the chamber to provide hands-on care as needed. A chamber technician remains outside to operate the control panel. The multiplace chamber can comfortably accommodate the many medical professionals required to provide hands-on intensive care level support during treatment of critically ill patients.
Ease of Access - A floor level rectangular door allows easy access for wheelchairs or gurneys, as well as high-risk patients who are brought to the chamber after emergency stabilization.
Greater Economies and Efficiency - Because the Multiplace Chamber is pressurized with medical grade air and the oxygen is delivered to the patient via acrylic hood, face mask or endotrachial tube, it uses a fraction of the oxygen per patient of a monoplace chamber, all while achieving the same therapeutic results.
All our wound healing centers have a trained safety director, who operates under the direction of Precision Health Care's Safety Committee.
